I’ve decided that New Zealand is like a fine woman. Vibrant and stunning, curvaceous and jaw-dropping, and she always gives you something new to gawk at. But, like a woman (and I am walking on a very fine line here) New Zealand also has some wicked mood swings!
I noticed just how drastically the weather changes in New Zealand while Brynn and I were headed back to Christchurch on a Naked Bus. Sure, I’ve been all over the North Island so far through sunshine, rain, and wind, but it never really hit me until now. We stopped briefly in Wanaka to pick up another passenger.
It felt pretty gloomy as I stared out at the dark lake while their luggage was put away. The hills surrounding the town looked drab and dull, grey clouds hovered above, nothing seemed alive.
